Privacy and Cookies Policy

Privacy Policy

Sol PV Group Limited is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. Our company is registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), in order to make transparent our data handling practices, and complies with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) effective from May 2018.

Handling information responsibly isn’t just the right thing to do – it’s also good for business. By managing personal data carefully, we can strengthen our reputation, build trust with both customers and employees, and make sure information stays accurate, relevant, and secure – saving everyone time and money.

As an organisation, we act as a Data Controller. This means we hold and process information about real people, and we have an important responsibility to follow strict rules about how that information is collected, used, and protected.

Lawful Basis for Processing

We take your privacy seriously, and we only use personal data when we have a clear, lawful reason to do so. In other words, we must be able to show that any data we process is genuinely needed to provide our products and services. There are six lawful bases for processing data, but our organisation relies on the following:

Contract – Sometimes we need to process your information to meet our obligations to you. For example, this might include preparing a quotation, acting as a credit intermediary for a finance agreement, or providing a warranty. In these cases, processing is necessary to deliver on our contract with you.

Legal Obligation – We may also process information when required by law. A common example is complying with health and safety regulations.

Legitimate Interests – In some situations, processing your data is essential for the day-to-day running of our business, such as creating a finance plan through a lender or carrying out a Customer Survey Report.

Consent – If you’d like to hear from us about other products or services we offer, we’ll always ask you to actively opt in.

We never process any special category data (such as information about your health, race, or religion).
